Hamilton Pulsar, the world’s first digital watch, had become a symbol in the arm of names such as Elvis Presley, Sammy Davis Jr and Yul Brynner since the early 1970s. Pulsar had both a futuristic and classic look. Pulsar P1 was more expensive than an average car at that time, with a price of $ 2,100 and only 400 were produced. The watch had a red LED time display that can be activated by pressing a button on its side to save battery life. Its successor, Pulsar P2, had a steel design and was a more affordable option at a price of $ 275. Hamilton Pulsar has recently become a symbol in popular culture, appearing in over 500 films, including the Man In Black series, Interstellar and The Martian. Hamilton brought Pulsar back for science fiction and movie buffs to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the watch. The new Hamilton PSR was inspired by Pulsar P2 in design. The watch is no longer displayed with LED lights and the LCD screen can be used to be always on. Users can also adjust the brightness of the screen with OLED lighting. Hamilton PSR is water resistant up to 100 meters and measures 40.88 x 34.70 mm. Hamilton PSR was produced in two different color options. One of them is made of stainless steel like the Pulsar P2 and costs $ 745. The other one, like the original Pulsar, has a gold PVD coating and a price tag of $ 995.
