According to the spokesperson’s report, it was announced that Remdesivir drug, which was tested with great hopes against COVID-19, failed in the first clinical test. It has been announced that Remdesivir, which the US President Donald Trump has also launched as a “promising drug against coronavirus,” failed in the full-capacity clinical test conducted by WHO. WHO selected 237 patients in its clinical test. Some of these patients received drug therapy, while others did not. Afterwards, it was examined whether there was an improvement in the healing processes of patients taking Remdesivir. WHO noticed that Remdesivir had no effect while the process was going on, as well as making patients worse due to their side effects. For this reason, the organization, which terminated the test process early, added this test to the public “clinical trials” database. Later, this report was also removed. Statement from WHO Speaking about the early removal of the experiment report, World Health Organization Spokesperson Tarik Jasarevic said: “The draft of the document, prepared by the experts conducting the research, was sent to WHO, but was removed immediately after the error was understood. We will re-open access to the report after other experts have looked at it. ” In the published report, for the Remdesivir test, “In this study, Remdesivir did not have a clinical or virological benefit in adult COVID-19 patients in the hospital.
