After Shopify, which joined the Libra Union in February, it was announced that another organization joined Libra. The global non-profit organization Heifer International became the 23rd official member of the Libra Union, according to a statement made yesterday. The group expressed its involvement in the project to enable the creation of a low-cost, accessible financial system. Heifer International aims to eliminate poverty and hunger through sustainable, value-based holistic community development. The news comes a few days after the union revised its initial target for the stable crypto project. When Libra appeared last year, it was designed as a global stable cryptocurrency based directly on country currencies and government bonds. A few days ago, this goal was changed and it is now aimed to develop different stable cryptocurrencies, each of which will be supported by a different nominal currency. The Libra team will also develop a single cryptocurrency based on these stable cryptocurrencies. Among the prominent members of Libra are Andreessen Horowitz, Coinbase, Spotify, Shopify, PayU, Uber and Lyft, especially Facebook.
