Scientists from NASA follow different parts of space instantly. These observations of scientists also provide the capture of remarkable images. New images captured from the nebula called the Running Chicken Nebula are also among the remarkable photos shared by NASA. Astronomers have called the IC 2944 the Chicken Nebula running because the giant gas and dust cloud looks like a running chicken in space. Although its name comes from a small poultry, the nebula has a huge size. Scientists think that the Running Chicken Nebula extends for 100 light years, which is 6.3 million times the distance between the Earth and the Sun. Photo of the Running Chicken Nebula The nebula near the Lambda Centauri star in the Centaurus constellation is located 6,000 light years from Earth. Due to this distance, the Running Chicken Nebula can only be seen as a small glow from Earth. The intriguing new photo of the Running Chicken Nebula was captured by astrophotographer Juan Filas. Filas used a 12-hour exposure to get the image of the nebula. After an exposure of 12 hours, this interesting photo appeared. The head and beak of the chicken can be seen in the upper left corner of the photo obtained by Filas. In the upper right part of the photo, an image similar to the tail of the chicken can be seen. A large part of the chicken body can be seen in the part of the nebula surrounded by gas and dust.
