However, for several days, the people of Brighton have been unleashed against the couple. Indeed, the latter launched a petition to have them stripped of their titles. According to them, the Duchess and her husband only put forward the posh class. “As residents of Brighton and Hove, we ask the Council to no longer refer to Meghan and Harry as Duke and Duchess of Sussex, which we believe is undemocratic and symbolic of the oppression of the people by the privileged elite ”can read on the petition. The petition against Meghan Markle and Prince Harry has already received more than 3,840 signatures. Thus, the couple seems to be experiencing a big drop in popularity in England. However, for the moment, the latter have not wished to react to the residents’ dissatisfaction. They want to enjoy the holiday season, but it is clear that 2020 is already going to be a difficult year for them.
