The devastation of the deadly Corona virus (COVID-19) epidemic, which has spread to the whole world after the appearance in Wuhan, People’s Republic of China, has caused 5,088 deaths. Doctors from Hong Kong conducted a study on patients infected with the Corona virus but recovered as a result of treatment. In the study conducted by Hong Kong Hospital Management and 12 patients were examined, lung damage caused by virus-borne diseases emerged. A 20 to 30% reduction in lung function was discovered in 2 or 3 people in the 12-person group. Doctors who noted that these patients were out of breath if they walked a little faster, however, pointed out that these recovered patients can increase their lung capacity if they do cardiovascular exercises such as swimming. Most patients will recover: Organ damage was found in the screening of 9 of the patients examined by the doctors, although it is still early to detect the long-term effects of COVID-19 related diseases. So far, 69.779 of 137.445 confirmed cases have recovered, 5.088 have died. In the lungs of the patients examined in Hong Kong, the appearance of ground glass called ‘opacification’ occurred. These white spots show the size of the pneumonia formed in the patient. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), announced that most of the people infected with the virus will recover. Symptoms of the disease caused by the virus include high fever, inflammation, cough, shortness of breath, and pneumonia. The North American Radiology Association (RSNA) also published tomography and x-ray images of the lungs of its patients, as part of research on the deadly Corona virus. In the x-ray images of a 44-year-old man who is a transportation employee in the fish market in Wuhan city, which is thought to be the source of the virus, white spots called opacification are seen, just as doctors identify. The patient died 1 week after applying to the hospital.
