The screenshots posted on Twitter show a wallpaper manager for the operating system. While the current version of iOS shows the wallpapers in a list, the new version will feature a more elaborate display, with divisions and categories. IOS 14 will organize the photos used as wallpaper in collections. In addition, it will also be possible to see a horizontal list with the standard iPhone wallpapers, in divisions such as “iOS 13” and “Classic Stripes”. Another novelty that appears in the leak is the option to define the appearance of the home screen. The function allows you to configure an extra layer or solutions as a gradient to be applied to the wallpaper. Thus, the user can more easily view applications when using low contrast wallpapers. Support for widgets The advanced functions for configuring wallpapers arrive shortly after another major leak on iOS 14: according to codes found by 9to5Mac, Apple can finally bring support for widgets in the new edition of the operating system. Present in Android, widgets are special application functions that can be implemented on the smartphone’s home screen. The function allows you to use compatible app features without having to open the program completely. To date, Apple has not officially commented on the new version of iOS, but has already confirmed that it will hold WWDC 2020 in June, adopting a new online format because of the pandemic caused by the coronavirus.
