Public channels can be found by searching and open to anyone, or they can be private and accessed only through an invitation link. Another difference with chat groups is that new subscribers can see the entire channel history as soon as they join. In the following tutorial, check out how to create a channel on Telegram. The procedure was performed on a Moto G7 Play with Android 9.0 (Pie), but the tips also apply to phones with the Apple system. Step 1. Tap on the pencil icon in the bottom right corner and go to “New Channel”. On the iPhone, the button is located in the upper right corner of the screen; Step 2. Then, press “Create Channel” and enter the channel name and description. Once this is done, tap on the button in the upper right corner to proceed; Step 3. Choose whether the channel will be public or private. In the first case, you can define a permanent link. In the next step, choose which friends you want to add to the channel and tap on the arrow to finish; Step 4. In the channel, in addition to text messages, administrators can send photos, videos and voice messages using the indicated buttons. Touch the channel name to see the details. To edit the name, description, add a photo and adjust other details, tap on the pencil icon.
