Google Arts & Culture is also available on PC through the website, and brings together the collection of art works from various museums. The platform allows you to stroll through popular tourist spots, such as the Louvre and Versailles, and has extra functions, such as finding your “twin” in classic paintings. The Google Arts & Culture tool uses artificial intelligence (AI) created by the company to read and learn from the painting styles of different artists, according to works granted by museums such as the MOA Museum of Art, and the National Gallery in London. The resource provides useful information about the artists of the edition, such as comments on the style of the painter and the museum where the work is currently located. The function, called Art Transfer (literally “art transfer”, in Portuguese), is only available in the smartphone application. To access it, you need to download and install Google Arts & Culture on Android or iPhone. Step 1. On the app’s home page, select the camera icon on the bottom options bar. On the next page, choose the “Art Transfer” option; Step 2. You can activate the front camera to take a selfie, or select a saved photo in the smartphone’s gallery. Then, just slide your finger over the painting style options. When you touch an art, the effect is automatically applied to the photo being displayed; Step 3. When you are satisfied with the result of the edit, tap on the “Share” option. On the next page, Google Arts & Culture allows you to choose between saving the edited image or the GIF, which displays the process of transforming the photo into painting. The bottom options bar allows you to choose another image to use in Art Transfer, download the result directly to your phone or share on social networks.
