The listing for the Mavic Air 2 comes shortly after the FCC also leaked the existence of a new DJI control appearing in the US agency’s database. While the joystick appeared on the website in more detail, the drone had only its name revealed on an online documentation page. So far, DJI has not officially commented on the matter. Apparently, however, the company may officially reveal the news soon, as we even had pictures of both devices appearing online in recent months. Some rumors that emerged earlier pointed out that the drone could reach the market only as DJI Mavic Air, indicating that the product would replace the previous model of the line. With certification, however, it is implied that the two devices in the series will remain available on the market. Regarding the specifications, we still don’t have details about factors such as flight time and camera capacity, but the Mavic Air 2 should arrive with a compact design and operate in the market between the Mavic Mini and the Mavic 2 series. One of the main novelties of the device it must be the adoption of an ADS-B sensor, which will allow the drone to recognize other nearby aircraft and issue proximity warnings, preventing accidents.
