The cryptocurrency exchange first offers Staking service for EOS, V-Systems (VSYS) and Cosmos (ATOM) cryptocurrencies. It has been announced that the passive gain offered by Bitfinex thanks to staking will increase up to 10% annually. Bitfinex CTO Paolo Ardoino said in a statement about the subject that new coins will be added in the coming months and Staking service will be offered for Tezos as of May. Staking is basically known as depositing proof-of-stake based coins in exchange for voting rights. While exchanges promise a certain amount of income to investors in return, they can obtain voting rights and lead the developments in the network, as seen in the Steem case.
