Called just the “Google Meet hardware kit”, the product is basically composed of four devices: a camera capable of recording and transmitting content in 4K; a speaker with a built-in microphone; a way to control the application (remote control or touch screen); and an ASUS computer with Google Meet pre-installed, with several cable entries (USB 3.1, HDMI, LAN, DC and 3.5 mm audio. The monitor must be provided by the user himself. Altogether, the company sells three variations of the kit: one for beginners, another for medium-sized rooms and another for larger rooms and many participants. The most basic version has a small remote control instead of the display and is suitable for meetings in a room with a maximum of eight people. The most sophisticated includes a Logitech PTZ Pro 2 camera, but it does not come with the package and must be negotiated separately with suppliers. The computer, on the other hand, has an Intel Core i7-8550U processor, a 128 GB SSD and a magnetic chassis that allows an easy fit on the support that comes with the product. It can also be used vertically, if desired. According to the 9 to 5 Google website, kits for meetings via Google Meet by ASUS will go on sale in June in 28 countries that are not detailed. The most basic version costs € 1,915; the format for medium rooms costs € 2,320; and the most powerful model costs € 1,970.
