The processors make improvements in battery life and performance, as well as new security features, and rival Intel’s vPro technology processors. AMD said the new series aims to set a new standard for modern business computers. The Ryzen Pro 4000 series includes three processors: Ryzen 7 Pro 4750U, 8 cores, 16 threads, 1.7 GHz base speed (maximum 4.1 GHz); Ryzen 5 Pro 4650U, 6 cores, 12 threads and 2.1 Ghz base speed (maximum 4.0 GHz); The Ryzen 3 Pro 4450U has 4 cores, 8 threads and a 2.5 GHz base rate (maximum 3.7 GHz). The processors came as the first business processors based on the company’s 7 nm Zen 2 architecture. AMD Ryzen Pro 4000 series stands out with its security features The keyword ‘security’ for the Ryzen Pro 4000 series. Processors include a special AMD Secure Processor that leverages Microsoft’s secure core technology to prevent core-level attacks and other security threats. AMD’s Memory Guard encryption feature also supports full memory encryption. For example, if your laptop is stolen, thieves cannot retrieve your sensitive data from memory. AMD works closely with Microsoft and other OEM partners (such as Lenovo and HP) for the processor’s enterprise security features. The series also includes AMD’s Pro Manageability. These features meet vPro’s Intel Active Management Technology. Ryzen processors also support Microsoft’s Endpoint Manager solution so that computing workers can manage computers, servers, and other devices in their organization. Pro 4000 series offers better performance than Intel’s competitors, according to AMD AMD also says the Pro 4000 series will offer performance improvements over both the previous series (Ryzen Pro 3000 series) and competing Intel processors. AMD suggests that the high-end Ryzen Pro 4750U is the fastest processor for ultrathin business laptops. The company says the 4750U is better than the Core i7-1070U, PCMark 10, Geekbench v5 and Passmark 9, and just a bit lagging behind in the Cinebench 1T. The company also promises improved battery life with the Ryzen Pro 4000 series. New chips detect savings and performance by detecting unused processes or active ones. AMD also claims that Ryzen 7 Pro 4750U systems can provide over 20 hours of battery life. According to the company’s statement, Lenovo ThinkPad notebook models with Ryzen Pro 4000 will come from Lenovo; T14 and T14s Gen 1 will be X13 Gen 1 and L14 and L15 Gen 1.
